Sun Bath

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Sun Bath tells you when sunlight will reach your window. It was built to know as little about you as possible. There is no account, your data stays on your device, and the little we do count can never be traced back to you.

The short version

What stays on your device

Everything you put into Sun Bath stays with you: your places and their coordinates, your windows and which way they face, your bookmarked cities, your reminder choices, and your settings. It is all stored on your device using Apple's built-in database. There is no Sun Bath server to send it to. If you delete the app, that data goes with it.

Sun reminders are worked out and scheduled entirely on your device too.

Location

If you allow location access, it is used to drop a pin on the map when you add a place. That is the whole job. Your location is never tracked, logged, or sent to us.

Weather and maps

To show you a forecast, the app asks Apple Weather for conditions at your places. When you search for an address or a city, the lookup uses Apple Maps. These requests go to Apple and are covered by Apple's privacy policy. Apple states that weather requests are not associated with your identity. Sun Bath never stores anything from these services beyond what it shows you on screen.

Anonymous usage counts

We want to know which parts of the app people actually use, so the app counts moments like "someone finished onboarding" or "someone opened search". These counts travel through TelemetryDeck, a small German company built around privacy, and are processed in the EU.

Here is how a count stays anonymous. Before anything leaves your device, its identifier is scrambled. TelemetryDeck scrambles it a second time on arrival, using a code that changes regularly. What is left cannot be turned back into you or your device, by us or by anyone else.

A count can include:

A count never includes:

Every event the app is allowed to count comes from one short, reviewed list. If it is not on the list, it cannot leave your device.

The App Store label

Sun Bath's App Store listing discloses this as "Usage Data, Not Linked to You". Nothing in the app tracks you across other apps or websites, so the app never shows Apple's tracking permission prompt. There is nothing to track.

If this ever changes

If the app ever starts collecting something new, this policy and the date at the top will change before the app does.
