How does Sun Bath know when my window gets sun?
Pure geometry, computed on your device. Sun Bath knows where your window is and which way it faces, and it knows where the sun is at every minute of every day. From those two facts it works out exactly when direct light lands on your glass. There is no server involved, so it works anywhere on Earth, even offline.
My sun times look off
The usual culprit is the window's facing. Open your place from the selector on the Today tab, tap the window, and check the direction on the satellite map. Even 20 degrees makes a real difference. Two more things worth knowing:
- Times are always shown in the place's own timezone, so an overseas window shows its own local sun.
- Sun Bath doesn't yet model trees or neighboring buildings, so a blocked view can shorten your real light compared to what geometry promises.
Reminders aren't arriving
A quick checklist:
- In Sun Bath, open Settings and make sure Sun reminders is on, then check the windows you want under "Windows and timing".
- In the iPhone's own Settings, make sure Sun Bath is allowed to send notifications.
- Reminders are scheduled about two weeks ahead each time you open the app, so opening it every so often keeps them flowing.
- Days with no direct sun on a window schedule no reminder for it. That's the app being honest, not broken.
Where are the weather details?
Cloud cover, UV, and temperature come from Apple Weather and need an internet connection. When the forecast can't be reached, Sun Bath quietly shows just the geometry rather than guessing. The sun times themselves never need a connection.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything you put into Sun Bath lives on your device and goes with it. There is no account to close and no server copy to chase down. The full story is in our privacy policy.
